The first project focuses on significantly improving water access points. These water points are for humans, cattle and irrigation consumption. This has resulted in increased and diversification of agricultural production like horticulture, improved conditions for watering livestock, and improved food security as families can now vary their diet and earn an income from the sale of plant products. In addition, it has significantly improved the conservation of biodiversity as there are reduced instances of human-wildlife conflict. Now there is no reason to get into the reserve while grazing area and water are available outside. Totally 6 new boreholes operating with hand pumps in 6 villages in buffer zone and 4 multifunction boreholes have established, providing water to 3 375 people.
