Calisto Cossa, appointed administrator of Matutuíne district, visits Maputo National Park

On April 1, 2024, the Maputo National Park (PNAM) received a visit from the recently appointed Administrator of the Matutuíne District, Calisto Cossa. He was welcomed by the PNAM Park Warden, Miguel Gonçalves, who gave a presentation of the facilities and the staff who, day and night, ensure the protection and conservation of the park’s biodiversity.

Calisto Cossa was given the opportunity to learn about how the PNAM works, its area of operation, the existing sectors, with emphasis on protection and supervision, conservation, community development, tourism, infrastructure and equipment, finance and human resources.

Both leaders hope to have further similar contacts on other occasions, in which they will strengthen institutional relations, exchange experience, discuss essential points, as well as addressing the lives of communities and biodiversity conservation in this area of the Matutuíne district in Maputo province.
